Demi Lovato’s next album will tell her story ‘regardless of who might not like it’

Brace yourselves: Demi Lovato may be ready for her comeback.

The “Confident” singer teased an upcoming album where she plans to be as “open and honest and possible.”

“You know what’s great about making an album?” she wrote on her Instagram story Tuesday. “You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and finally tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it.” The singer capped off her post with an emoji of a woman shrugging her shoulders.

The former Disney star has been open about her struggles with addiction in the past. She was hospitalized in July due to an apparent overdose.

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction,” the 26-year-old wrote on Instagram about two weeks after she was hospitalized. “What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”
