Deadwater Fell cast: Who is actor Gordon Brown? Meet the Frontier star

There are just two episodes remaining in Channel 4’s eerie new drama, Deadwater Fell. The series is not based on a true story but the show producer Emma Kingsman-Lloyd recently revealed the show is loosely inspired by the Netflix true-crime series, The Staircase. The four-part series follows the story of Tom Kendrick (played by David Tennant), who has been accused of killing his entire family in a deadly house fire.

Who is Gordon Brown?

Gordon Brown is a Scottish actor, best known of this collaboration with Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn.

In Channel 4’s Deadwater Fell, Brown plays DCI Spencer Collins.

He works closely with DC Gemma Darlington, played by Laurie Brett.

Both Collins and Darlington are working together on the Kendrick family deaths.

In the latest episode of Deadwater Fell, Kate’s (Anna Madeley) best friend Jess (Cush Jumbo) made a statement to Collins and Darlington about Tom’s behaviour on the night of the fire.

This then led Collins and Darlington to look closer at the Kendrick family home CCTV, where they caught Tom hauntingly staring into the camera.

Brown has worked alongside big Hollywood names including Jason Momoa and Ryan Gosling.

He starred in the Momoa led series, Frontier season three as Barclay and alongside Gosling as Gordon in the thriller film, Only God Forgives.

Who else is in the cast of Deadwater Fell?

David Tennant plays the series main character, Tom Kendrick.

Tom is a local GP, who has found himself at the centre of a murder investigation.

Tennant is best known for playing the 10th incarnation of The Doctor on Doctor Who and DI Alec Hardy in Broadchurch.

Matthew McNulty stars as police sergeant Steve Campbell.

McNulty has starred in over 30 TV shows including BBC‘s Our Girl, Silent Witness and Cleaning Up.
