Fortnite has been teasing a Deadpool crossover since the current season began, and the Merc with a Mouth is now finally joining.

When Fortnite Chapter 2’s long-awaited second season began, the focus may have been on all the secret agent stuff, but arguably the real draw was the teased inclusion of Deadpool, one of Marvel’s most popular characters.

Initially, he was delegated to a simple cameo, appearing on the battle pass menu, where he offered special challenges that mostly consisted of finding his missing stuff.

Soon, though, he’ll be joining the game proper as an alternate skin. In fact, he should be dropping later today, as confirmed by the Merc with a Mouth himself on his official Twitter account.

The tweet doesn’t confirm much else, only stating that he’s bringing ‘music, tacos, and a whole lotta Deadpool,’ though the accompanying picture suggests that he’ll be taking over the Yacht, something that was discovered by dataminers. Apparently, he’ll be hijacking the Battle Bus as well.

You can probably expect his skin to be unlocked once you’ve cleared all his challenges. If you don’t know where to find him, though, check the battle pass menu again and look for a vent above and to the right of the challenges menu.

Select that to be taken to Deadpool’s room, where you can find a computer that has the challenge list. You will need to complete them in order, starting with finding Deadpool’s letter to Epic Games, which can be found on the ground next to the computer monitor.

The aforementioned datamine also revealed that Deadpool will have a second skin, which is just his regular outfit minus the mask, so we get to see his ‘beautiful’ face.

This may not be the first time Fortnite and Marvel have crossed over, but Deadpool’s inclusion seems to have had a lot more effort put in to make him feel like part of the game’s world.

It’s also interesting that, unlike previous crossovers, this isn’t to tie in with a new movie or show. Given Deadpool’s personality, though, he’s a pretty perfect fit for Fortnite.

Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Switch, iOS, and Android.
