Davina McCall ‘desperately sad’ after Big Brother icon Nikki Grahame dies aged 38


Davina McCall, 53, who presented Big Brother, has told fans she is heartbroken by Nikki Grahame’s death. The latter died yesterday following a long-term battle with anorexia. Taking to her Twitter this evening, the presenter led tributes, in view of her 2.7 million followers.

She wrote: “I am so desperately sad to hear about Nikki Graham x My thoughts are with her friends and family xx.

“She really was the funniest, most bubbly sweetest girl x.”

Davina concluded her post with a series of broken and love heart emojis.

Nikki’s manager confirmed her death to Express.co.uk this evening.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she said: “With Covid, it sounds crazy but stuff like gyms closing impacted her.

“In order for her to eat she needs to know she can exercise, so when they closed it was quite a worry, the isolation as well.

“I asked her if she would come and stay with me but she said she needs to be in her home.”

Susan went on to say Nikki had also been suffering from loneliness due to the pandemic.

Tributes have flooded in for the Big Brother icon on social media this evening.

BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker commented: “How incredibly sad. Nikki was a guest on Breakfast on a few occasions over the past few years and was always great.”

Paddy McGuinness added: “Just read the sad news about Nikki Grahame. Definitely one of the stars from the glory years of reality tv. I met her a long time ago and she was a lovely girl. RIP young lady.”
