Dani Dyer plots her own soap career to rival dad Danny – but not on EastEnders

Love Island winner Dani Dyer has revealed she would like to follow her dad Danny Dyer, who plays Mick Carter in EastEnders, into soap land.

However, Dani, 23, has hinted she would rather take her dad on as competition rather than act alongside him.

She said: “I would never ever say never to it.

“I would love to try EastEnders but I feel like I need to try a different soap.

“So my dad’s on one and I’m on the other one.”

She also hit out at social media companies over trolling – saying they are ‘lazy’ and need to do more.

The 23-year-old spoke out after her fellow ITV2 star Molly-Mae Hague was viciously trolled over her appearance on holiday last week.

Dani said that users of sites such as Instagram should declare their PASSPORTS to prevent fake troll accounts.

She said: “Social media companies need to do more but they are not doing anything. They can do something about it but they are lazy. That’s the problem. On Instagram you shouldn’t be able to have loads of fake accounts. I can make about 10 fake accounts if I wanted to.

Dani has slammed social media trolls for commenting on the weight of reality stars

“I think you should have a passport or something to be verified. I don’t understand why you are allowed to fake an account and make someone feel rubbish about themselves.”

She said of Molly-Mae: “I just don’t like it when people comment on other people’s weight. It’s not a nice thing. You can’t call someone skinny or too overweight. She looked amazing. I just don’t know why it’s allowed because people are like sheep. If it’s in fashion to call someone ugly, everyone does it.

“I do try and keep my mouth closed when it comes to trolling but I have to do my bit.”

Molly-Mae was left distraught over the comments of her in a bikini, while on holiday in Ibiza.

Dani also won Love Island with then-boyfriend Jack Fincham in the fourth series of the ITV2 show.

The popular duo won an incredible 79.6 per cent of the vote and even went on to star in an ITVBe spin-off programme, Jack & Dani: Life After Love Island.

But the pair broke -up in April, 2019. Jack said at the time: “We have some amazing memories together and have been through a lot but sometimes things aren’t meant to be and we really did try to make it work but it unfortunately didn’t and that is life”

Dani has since starred in musical Nativity, as well as being an MTV presenter. This week she is launching a new fashion range with Dubai based fashion brand Beach City.

Dani’s new 22 piece capsule collection is available now at shopbeachcity.com
