Cristiano Ronaldo jumps ship from FIFA to become PES 2020 Cover Star alongside rival Leo Messi


Not long after the announcement of the license agreement between PES and Juventus. Konami dropped another bombshell by revealing CR7 as the latest professional to front the new  PES 2020.

The 34-year-old is the cover star for Juventus Club edition of PES 2020, which will come to as a surprise to some given the fact the Portuguese striker was on the cover of the last two FIFA games. 

There were signs that the relationship between EA and Ronaldo may have started to become strained.

Earlier in the year, Cristiano Ronaldo was removed from the FIFA cover and replaced by PSG star Neymar. The Juventus star was embroiled in allegations relating to sexual assault which have subsequently been dropped.

This is yet another global superstar who has made the big move from EA to Konami. God knows who else will make the jump but be sure Konami are ready to pick up as many players as possible to continue the battle to be the best football game out there.

There are now 20 fully-licensed teams, meaning their stadiums, kits and players will all be represented accurately in the game.
