A MUM has revealed how she transformed a bedroom into a Harry Potter-themed nursery for her baby for just £150.
Kelsey Michael, 23, has successfully created the magical space in her home for 11-week-old son, George, using just items from Primark, Wayfair and Amazon.

The accounts assistant from Swindon – who is a fan of J.K.Rowling’s novels – explained how she decided some Hogwarts-inspired decor could help encourage her newborn to also become a Potterhead from the get-go.
“I came up with the idea as I’ve always loved Harry Potter,” she told LatestDeals.co.uk.
“I had this image in my head of how I wanted it to look, and I’m so happy it does.
“I’ve collected Harry Potter merchandise for a number of years now and I wanted to display it all, so I came up with the idea of using it all to decorate my boy’s nursery.”

This includes a mobile with characters Harry, Ron and Hermione suspended over George’s cot.
Kelsey has also given him his very own Hedwig – by placing a toy owl from Amazon in a cage from Wayfair and dangling it from the ceiling.
Continuing the theme, there’s a quote from Dumbledore printed on the wal,l and wands placed on the shelves.

The mum-of-one also used some DIY nous money-saving tactics to achieve the spell-binding finish.
For example, she wrapped an old lamp in gold wrapping paper to make it fit the theme.
Kelsey also made use of Harry Potter items given to her over years by family and friends.
And she used products sent to her by Geek Gear – a subscription service that sends you products from the series – to decorate the shelves.

The new parent was able to transform the entire room for a bargain price.
While the cot and drawers cost Kelsey £600, the extra touches came to a total of between £100 and £150.
“It was so fun putting it all together; I enjoyed every minute,’ she recalled.
“We moved into our new house at the beginning of the year and it was all a blank canvas when we first moved in, so the process didn’t take too long.
“I started with the wall stickers, and all these ideas started coming into my head like having Hedwig in the cage hanging from the ceiling.
“I was lucky as it lots of the merchandise I had was gifted to me over birthdays and Christmas.”
