Coutinho offered to Premier League club by Barcelona on loan for £27m fee

BARCELONA have offered Philipe Coutinho to English clubs for a £27million loan fee.

The Spanish giants are trying hard to cut their £800m debts and believe the former Liverpool attacker will become more of a squad player.

The arrival of £108m Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid will cut Coutinho’s game time.

Spanish radio station Mundo Deportivo via Catalunya Radio claim Barca will let the Brazil talisman leave this month.

Midfielder Frenkie de Jong also signed at the Nou Camp for £67.5m from Ajax, further limiting Coutinho’s options.

Coutinho moved to the Catalan club in January 2018 but has struggled to rediscover the form which lit up Anfield.

Mundo Deportivo via Catalunya Radio say club chiefs are now working on a deal to let Coutinho get game time, while allowing them to save on his wages.

The only snag is they want a hefty fee of up to £27m – just for one season.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have both been linked with a move for Coutinho this summer.

Barcelona signed the 27-year-old for an astonishing £142m so would be looking for at least £110m to sign him permanently.

Gunners chiefs reportedly met with Nou Camp bosses a week ago, to discuss a potential deal.

Former Barcelona presidential candidate Agusti Benedito also suggested that Coutinho’s time is up at the Nou Camp.

He urged the club to bring in Neymar from PSG by posting on Twitter: “Ney, in. Cou, out. All-in”
