‘Couldn’t do anything’ Helen Flanagan forced to move back to parents during nasty illness


Helen Flanagan, 30, has recalled how she had to move back with her parents after falling ill. The former Coronation Street star shared how she had been badly impacted by hyperemesis when she was pregnant.

Helen opened up about her pregnancy battle with the condition during a recent interview.

She explained: “It’s not just morning sickness, it’s really nasty.

“It absolutely wiped me out for three months – for a good two months, I couldn’t even lift my head off the pillow.

“All the medication they gave me at the hospital didn’t work.”

Around one to three in every 100 women are thought to suffer from HG during their pregnancy.

Helen welcomed her third child, Charlie, in March with her footballer fiance Scott Sinclair.

She is also mother to daughters Matilda, five, and Delilah, two.

The actor has previously explained how her battles with hyperemesis will mean she’ll have to wait “a very long time” before having another baby.
