CORSAIR DreamLeague Adds Caffeine as Streaming Platform

  • Streaming platform Caffeine will broadcast DreamHack’s CORSAIR DreamLeague Season 11 Dota 2 tournament.
  • CORSAIR DreamLeague Season 11 has a $1M USD prize pool and concludes this Sunday.
  • Caffeine previously partnered with ESL and Natus Vincere, and received a $100M investment from 21st Century Fox last September.

DreamHack’s CORSAIR Database-Link-e1521645463907 DreamLeague Dota 2 Database-Link-e1521645463907 tournament has added Caffeine Database-Link-e1521645463907 as an additional streaming platform alongside Twitch Database-Link-e1521645463907.

CORSAIR DreamLeague is the third Major of the 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit season, is currently taking place in Stockholm, Sweden, and will conclude this Sunday, March 24. The tournament features 16 teams and has a prize pool of $1M.

The news was announced today via DreamLeague’s official Dota 2 Twitter account, although no further details were revealed about the extent of the partnership or any future planned activations. A DreamLeague representative confirmed to The Esports Observer that the deal also includes future events, and that more details will be released next week.

21st Century Fox invested $100M in Caffeine last September as part of a funding round that also included Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, and other undisclosed investors. Fox’s investment included plans for a joint venture with Caffeine for a broadcast studio called Caffeine Studios.

Caffeine also agreed to a streaming pact with esports organization Natus Vincere Database-Link-e1521645463907 last month, and previously partnered with ESL Database-Link-e1521645463907 in March 2018 for a streaming deal around last year’s Intel Database-Link-e1521645463907 Extreme Masters (IEM) World Championship in Katowice, Poland.
