Corrie fans 'in stitches' at Steve McDonald blunder amid Tim Metcalfe wife twist

Tim Metcalfe was on the hunt to find his secret wife in during tonight’s visit to Coronation Street.

The cabbie married Sally Webster in 2015, but it has come to light that he was already married but he didn’t realise.

He married a lady called Charlie in Las Vegas on a stag do before meeting Sally.

In tonight’s show, Tim recruited pals Kevin Webster and Steve McDonald to help him track down Charlie.

During the quest online, Steve compared this colleague to King Henry VIII, who is known for having six wives.

Steve shockingly reeled off some Tudor history before making a blunder.

He named one of Henry’s wives “Catherine of Tarragon” instead of Catherine of Aragon”.

Tarragon is a herb and fans were left in stitches at Steve’s gaff.

Tim found Charlie after searching for her online

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “Catherine of Tarragon was hilarious”.

Another added: “Catherine of Tarragon” with laughing face emojis.

A third tweeted: “Steve classic one liner. Catherine of Tarragon.”
