Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor’s daughter lands Netflix drama role

Waterloo Road actress Phoebe Dynevor, whose mum has played Sally Webster in the ITV soap for 33 years, will star as a debutante in period drama series Bridgerton.

Sally, 56, said on Instagram: “Amazing!”

Her Street pal Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz Brown, also reacted with: “Amazing.’’

The glitzy series is set in the world of Regency London high society and based on Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton family novels.

Dynevor, 24, will play Daphne Bridgerton, who is waiting to make her grand entrance into society at a time when King George III’s illness meant his son ruled as Prince Regent in the early 19th Century.

She will star alongside The Sound Of Music legend Andrews, 83, as well as Regé-Jean Page, Golda Rosheuvel and Polly Walker.

Manchester-born Phoebe is the daughter of Sally and her 57-year-old Emmerdale scriptwriter husband Tim Dyvenor.
