Sinead Tinker (played by Katie McGlynn) revealed she would be leaving Coronation Street earlier in the year and it looks like the door might not be left open for the ITV soap star.
The Coronation Street resident will make a heartbreaking exit from the cobbles after losing her battle with cancer.
After six years in Weatherfield, Sinead star, Katie, revealed she would be saying goodbye to the ITV soap.
Discussing her exit, a TV insider told The Sun: “From her two rocky relationships to the mini-bus crash, she’s been in some of Corrie’s most captivating storylines.
“And producers will be sad to see Katie leave the soap, but she will make an unforgettable departure which is set to leave viewers in tears.”
Husband Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) who has been by her side ever since she received the diagnosis, will be devastated by the news.
The mum of one postponed treatment as she made the tough decision to have their son Bertie instead of radiotherapy.
Sinead was first diagnosed with cervical cancer last year and in tonight’s episode she was given good news after an agonising wait.
Before she heard the news, Sinead warns Daniel that he has to come to terms with the prospect she may not have recovered.
But Daniel breaks down and explains he wouldn’t be able to cope without her.

Viewers watched as her oncologist revealed the treatment had worked and the tumour appeared to have shrunk.
However Sinead isn’t as happy with the news as Daniel feels she should be.
Later on in the episode, Sinead confessed she’s worried the cancer will come back at any time.
With Sinead’s exit from the ITV soap confirmed, will her worst fears be realised as her cancer returns?
