Michelle Connor (played by Kym Marsh) announced her exit from Coronation Street earlier this year, but in upcoming episodes, she will sell The Bistro to an anonymous buyer only to find it is the Weatherfield creep Ray (Mark Frost). But it will be Johnny who bears the brunt of Ray’s new business venture causing a big crack in the cobbles this new year.
Viewers will remember earlier in the year Michelle was left horrified when the creepy hotelier Ray propositioned her in just a robe when she ended up in a hotel room with him.
So this news is set to shock, making her exit a sour one as she watches this character take the business she built.
However, it will be Michelle’s relative Johnny who will be left to deal with Ray making an enemy in the process.
In the wake of Michelle’s exit, Ryan Connor (Ben Thompson) will be forced to quit his job at the Bistro.
This will only fuel Ray to cause more problems, as he bathes in the drama he is creating without having to do much.
Despite Ryan’s exit from the Bistro, Ray manages to charm the other staff into staying and sets about organising a rival New Year’s Eve party to the Rover’s Return.
The dodgy dealer won’t stop here, he will announce that all proceeds will be donated to a cancer charity.
He will tell them that he wants to make this gesture in memory of Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn), which leaves the Bistro staff impressed.
Michelle has had a rough time in recent months, after finding out her fiance Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) had been having an affair with Vicky Jefferies (Kerri Quinn).
Not only this, Vicky is now carrying Robert’s baby unbeknownst to Michelle.
However, it really hit the fan last week when Michelle found out everything, leading her to expose Robert in front of their friends and family at the altar at their wedding, leaving viewers wondering what would happen next.
To get the control back, Michelle went about selling the Bistro as her ultimate revenge to Robert.
