Coronation Street spoilers: Imran Habeeb takes down Carla in dramatic revenge plot twist?

Coronation Street viewers saw Imran Habeeb (played by Charlie De Melo) left heartbroken as he stood outside a crumbling factory knowing he was never going to see his sister alive again.

Almost a week ago, Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia) sadly passed away in the arms of her fiancé Kate Connor (Faye Brooks).

Since then, Imran has understandably been drowning in his grief, but in a major turn of events, as he begins to process the course of events that happened that dreadful night, his sorrow will turn into anger.

During an interview with What’s On TV, the actor spoke about how his character is going to cope with losing his sister.

“He’s [Imram] completely devastated and the way in which he’s expressing that and dealing with it is by projecting everything in a blind fury,” Charlie began explaining.

However, he quickly revealed how the lawyer is going to want to hold someone responsible and sets out on a mission to find out who is to blame for Rana’s death.

“It all seems so senseless and he wants to find out who’s responsible, he’s not satisfied with the idea it was just an accident.

“That’s not good enough for Imran, this needs to be a problem that he can solve.”

The actor then went onto say how his character is going focus on one person; Underworld factory owner Carla Connor (Alison King).

“It needs to be someone’s fault, there needs to be a dragon he can slay rather than just dealing with his grief.

“His eyes immediately go towards both Nick [Tilsley] (Ben Price) and Carla in so far as they were in charge of that building and should have known what was going on.

“They’re negligent at best but as time goes on he takes on a kind of detective role; talking to eyewitnesses, people who worked in the factory, trying to piece the puzzle together.”

It seems Coronation Street viewers could see some resistance and annoyance from residents as Imran’s “obsessive” questioning throws red herrings his way which he can’t seem to ignore.

“It makes him more suspicious, surely these aren’t the things you should be saying in the middle of a very serious investigation.

“There are people who seem to be acting in Carla’s interests rather than those who are directly affected and that becomes something of an obsession for Imran.”

After all, all Imran wants is “justice” and he strongly believes there are some people who are keeping quite about what really went on due to “Carla’s fragile state”.

While Carla will initially be held responsible for the factory roof collapse, is she completely to blame as it seems someone else is keen to dampen the villain rumours.

Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) eventually convinced Gary Windass (Mikey North) to take his bribe for being ignorant towards the extent of the roof repairs he conducted.

With Nick helping him, does this mean there could be two villains in Weatherfield?

Coronation Street returns Wednesday at 7:30pm on ITV
