The Daily Star quotes insiders as saying the actors decided to speak in Polish themselves to give the scenes authenticity because they wouldn’t want Eileen to know what was being said.

They wanted the scenes to appear more threatening to Eileen so viewers would feel the danger she was in.

In the end she was forced to punch Nikoli’s wife Rachel in an effort to escape while Jan fought the gang leader.

But as she tried to escape the police burst in and arrested everyone – assuming Eileen was part of the gang.

What was said?

The scenes translated:

Jan: “Listen, she’s a naive woman, she has no idea what is going on, OK? Leave her alone, you don’t need this. Do you think I talk about my life? Do you think I talk…”

Nikolai: “I don’t care what you talk about in bed. Maybe you’re taking in your sleep?”

Jan: “You don’t trust me, well that’s great. And here I am trying to work with you. Think! What do you need this for? What do you need this for?”

Nikolai: “I don’t care what you talk about in bed!”

In the second scene…

Nikolai: “You need to get rid of this woman.”

Jan: “No one needs to get rid of anything.”

Nikolai: “Are you scared?”

Jan: “Yes I’m scared. I don’t want to go to jail over her.”

Nikolai: “Maybe you want me to do it. Because this actually works out for me.”

Jan: “Yes it works out for you, you’re great at it. Put the hammer down.”

Nikolai: “Maybe you still love her, yes?”

Jan: “Put it away!”

She was later released but she wasn’t told how Jan is a police informant and that he is one of the good guys.

Instead she thinks she has been cursed in love again with another villain, while he was told he had to flee Weatherfield without Eileen for his own safety.
