Clyde Travel hires new head of sales as it targets global growth



Clyde Travel has appointed Melanie Quinn as head of sales and customer relations as it targets growth abroad.

Quinn joins the travel agency group from Leeds-based Amber Road, where she was commercial director in charge of sales, marketing and client relationship and led the rebrand from CTI in 2018.

She previously led the sales team for north of England and Scotland at Etihad Airways, and has also worked at airlines SAS and bmi.

Managing director Paul Cronje said: “As Clyde expands further into global markets, I am delighted to welcome Melanie to our leadership team. Strategically, these are some of the most exciting times of our company’s 30-year history, Clyde has never been as agile, diverse and creative as we are today.”

Glasgow-headquartered Clyde Travel Management was founded in 1989 and has offices in Gothenburg, Houston and Mumbai. It is a subsidiary of Northern Marine Group, which is part of the Stena Group.

Quinn said, “I am thrilled to be joining Clyde Travel Management at such an exciting time and I look forward to playing a significant part in the company’s development.
