Claudia Winkleman husband: Claudia reveals her biggest shame 'I feel so guilty'

Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly will launch the 17th series of Strictly Come Dancing on Monday with an exclusive Red Carpet Event. The presenters will introduce the new stars of this year’s show-stopping series such as Alex Scott, James Cracknell and Michelle Visage. But as one of Britain’s top TV presenters, Claudia has a busy schedule – and her family sometimes have to take a backseat.

Away from the screens, Claudia is a mother to Jake, Matilda and Arthur, whom she shares with husband Kris Thykier.

During an interview with Hello! Magazine in 2018, she opened up about her family and how she often feels “guilty”.

She told the publication: “The kids wake up really early at 7am, we’re all up making breakfast, do the drop off then come back and I’m back into bed.

“I feel bad and guilty for saying that.” She added: “It’s slightly chaotic. It’s a bit better now that they’re older.

“Once they start to get dressed themselves, then you’re on to a winner.

“There was a time when I was putting on socks and shoes.”

However, Claudia has praised her husband Kris for doing his fair share around the house.

She said of her husband: “My husband is very good at the school run, he’s quite into it – so we share it.

“So this morning, he took my daughter and I took my youngest son.”

The couple has been together for 22 years and married in 2000 in a secret wedding ceremony with just their closest friends and family.

Kris is also a busy man as a film and TV producer.

He is best known for his work on movies such as Woman in Gold (2015), Kick-Ass (2010) and The Debt (2010) and Tolkien (2018).

Kris was also the executive producer on the hit TV show Riviera (2017).

In an interview with BBC Radio 2 on Sunday, Claudia described her husband as “very laid-back.”

She added: “I can’t make him have a row, I’ve been with him for 22 years. I’m like, ‘Come on!’ Even if it’s about mustard!”
