Claer Barrett’s Business Clinic: Join our live Q&A

Entrepreneurs, small business owners and the self-employed are being tested to their limits as disruption from the coronavirus spreads through the UK economy.

Claer Barrett, the FT’s personal finance editor, has been writing and broadcasting throughout the crisis on the challenges small businesses facing, how they are adapting and what they think about various support measures launched by the government.

In her FT column this week, she has analysed the government’s unprecedented package of support package for the self employed. A lifeline to many of the UK’s 5m flexible workers, she points out that owner-directors of small businesses are one group that will not be covered by this scheme. Freelancers who operate via limited companies, including many working in the UK’s creative industries, will also not be supported.

This is your chance to ask Claer your questions about business support programmes, and tell us about your own experiences and help to shape the FT’s coverage of this crucial issue.

Tune into FT.com at Monday 11am GMT for the live Q&A session, which will also be available to watch on the FT’s YouTube channel.

Post your comments and questions for Claer in the comment field below, or if you would prefer to email, send your questions to money@ft.com
