ChuckleVision has been named the greatest CBBC series of all time in a new poll.

The children’s programme, known for Paul and Barry Chuckle’s slapstick antics and ‘to me, to you’ catchphrase, ran for 21 series and 300 episodes before the show ended in 2009.

ChuckleVision was crowned the greatest CBBC series ever in a poll of 3,000 conducted by Radio Times, followed by The Story Of Tracy Beaker and Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow.

Other shows in the top ten include Horrible Histories, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Blue Peter, Byker Grove, Grange Hill, Maid Marian And Her Merry Men, and The Demon Headmaster.

The new poll follows a recent ranking by CBBC where ChuckleVision was placed in the ‘mid tier’ – to the dismay of Paul Chuckle.

Speaking about the new countdown, Paul told the magazine: ‘I am thrilled that an injustice has been corrected and I would like to thank everyone over all platforms of social media who got involved.

‘In the words of me and Barry (changed a little) “From me – to you”. Thank you as you have all helped put ChuckleVision where it belongs, at number one!’

Barry Chuckle died from bone cancer in 2018, while brother and co-star Jimmy Patton passed away in July earlier this year.
