Chris Evans was missing in action from his Virgin Radio show again this morning, more than a week after he was rushed to hospital.

The radio DJ was expected to return to his breakfast show at 6:30am on Monday but Sam Pinkham instead filled in for the second week.

Sam made no mention of Chris’ absence leaving listeners concerned and questioning when their favourite regular host would return.

‘Where’s our Chris? Hope he is ok,’ one listener tweeted.

Another worried fan said: ‘No Chris again , hope he’s OK.’

‘No Chris again? When is he back?’ one chimed in.

It comes after Chris, 54, detailed his painful experience with kidney stones which forced him to go to the hospital, missing his Monday morning show last week.

‘After an ultrasound scan and CT scan, it was clear I had a kidney stone on the move,’ he told The Sun.

‘I was subsequently admitted to a ward where I was looked after until I came back home on Monday evening.

‘I still have the stone, and if it doesn’t come out soon I will need to go back in and have it removed. All the NHS doctors, nurses, porters and consultants were typically amazing, professional, warm, caring – all wrapped up in their usual blanket of selflessness and hilarity,’ he explained.

Sam broke the news to listeners last Monday as he promptly filled in for the DJ and said: ‘If you’ve just tuned into us here on Chris Evans’ radio show, he went into hospital over the weekend with stomach pains.

‘It turns out that he had kidney stones. He’s all sorted and he is back at home now.

‘He is taking the rest of the week off and will be back with you on Monday.’
