Chris Evans and his rescue dog just got even purer, and honestly, our ovaries can’t stand it any longer.

Basically, our main man sparked a bit of a sweater obsession when he donned a white cable-knit jumper in one scene of his new murder mystery Knives Out, in which he plays all-round nutjob Hugh ‘Ransom’ Drysdale.

Jumper sales went up (yes, really) and the memes were through the roof in the Twittersphere.

And now Captain America has given the people what they never knew they needed by dressing his pooch Dodger in a matching version of THAT jumper.

The 38-year-old shared two snaps of Dodger rocking his knit like nobody’s business while looking mournfully into the middle distance on Twitter and captioned them with a simple Christmas tree emoji.

Hold tight, girls and boys.

The following images may cause leaking from the eyes.

Naturally, pretty much everyone in the world had a meltdown and the gifs/memes/outpourings of love the moment spawned are glorious.

Chris’ love affair with his dog started last year, when he spotted Dodger at a rescue pound and just knew he had to take the pooch home.

Since they became one, the Avengers star has been blessing our feed with snaps of Dodger watching the snow, being snuggly on Valentine’s Day and accidentally co-ordinating outfits on set.

The Endgame actor is currently melting hearts as the ‘vile’ Ransom in Knives Out, in which he stars alongside a bunch of absolute nobodies.

The Z-list cast is made up of Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Ana de Armas, Don Johnson, Katherine Langford, Lakeith Stanfield and Christopher Plummer.

Honestly, guys. Really low-grade stuff.

The Agatha Christie-inspired flick sees wealthy crime author Harlan Thrombrey (Pummer) invite his extended family to his mansion to celebrate his 85th birthday.

Pretty soon people start dying though and Detective Benoit Blanc (Craig) comes to investigate – deciding that everyone is a suspect.

Not Dodger though.

That little furry unicorn could never be found guilty of anything but the crime of BEING TOO ADORABLE FOR THIS CRUEL WORLD.
