Cher has lost her favourite t-shirt that she’s been wearing for more than 30 years

Cher may be a multi-million selling recording artist with endless haute couture at her disposal, but the 72-year-old still has one favourite item in her wardrobe.

The garment in question is a black rhinestone skull adorned t-shirt, which she has been wearing for over 30 years and, much to Cher’s distress, has gone missing.

The star put out a tweet on Wednesday simply saying “My T-Shirt Is Gone” followed by crying face and broken heart emojis.

Given Cher’s extensive wardrobe, it would have been fair to assume the task of pinpointing the tee in question to be nigh on impossible. Within minutes however, one observant fan guessed it replying “plz say it isnt this one” – referencing the ‘eat the rich’ slogan tee that Cher has worn repeatedly since 1985.

Cher confirmed “YES IT IS” later adding the description “Black studded Rhinestone Shirt with white pirate .Worn it for 30-40 yrs . My favorite piece of clothing”.

Indeed, the gem-embellished tee is Cher’s go-to item, and since its first sighting way back in 1985 has been worn multiple times, both on and off-duty.

A few of the treasured items most memorable appearances include a performance on Top of the Pops in 2001 and even a red carpet debut at the premiere of The Cell in 2000.

Cher was also seen wearing the tee with a large straw hat and strappy sandals on holiday with friends in Genoa in 2016, proving the item’s total versatility.

It’s last sighting is thought to have been in 2018 when Cher wore it in a snap with her stylist, Marjan Malakpour.

We for one really hope social media does its thing and Cher can be reunited with her favourite item – not only because it’s now a Cher signature, but because it’s steeped in memories.
