Chelsea star Eden Hazard drops hint over where he will play next season after Man Utd draw

The Blues drew an important game with United that saw them take charge of the top four race at the summit of the Premier League.

With two games to play, Chelsea know that victory in both will secure them a spot in next season’s Champions League.

And after the game, Hazard spoke of his aspirations to play in Europe’s elite competition, hinting that he wanted to do it with Chelsea.

Chelsea has to play in the Champions League every year,” he told Sky Sports.

“Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and me myself I want to play in the Champions League. We will.”

Eden Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid since last summer and reports in recent weeks have suggested that the Belgian could be off to the Spanish capital in the coming months.

Hazard’s footballing idol, as he’s stated on several occasions, is Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.

Zidane has noted on numerous occasions that he would be looking to overhaul Real’s current squad, and it’s thought that Hazard is top of the wish list.

Hazard played well for Chelsea in their clash with Manchester United, but the 28-year-old lamented the fact that his team-mates didn’t believe in themselves enough.

“It was a good day but it could be better. We came here and thought about winning the game,” he added.

“A draw was not a bad result for us but I think if we believed a bit more we could score another goal.

“At the end it’s a good result and now we have two games to remain in the top four.

“We started a bit slowly and we conceded the goal but we had a reaction, so that’s the good thing. In the second half I don’t remember them having a chance at all.

“I don’t know why the belief is not there, playing away isn’t that same as home, we have big players, we can handle the pressure.

“We need the determination to score these goals that can be the difference between a draw and a win.

“The last 10 seasons we have been playing a lot of games, the Premier League isn’t easy, you need to fight hard.”

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri said he does not know if Hazard will remain at Chelsea, but said he will respect any decision the 28-year-old makes over his future.

“I don’t know,” said Sarri. “You have to ask the club and the problem is the new contract. But I want to respect his decision.

“He will go in the last season of the contract next season, so I don’t know at the moment.

“But in this moment, for me it’s not really so important. I’m really happy with Eden, because he’s playing very well, he fights on the pitch, so I’m really happy with him.”
