Chelsea have made contact with super agent Mino Raiola regarding the situation of Gianluigi Donnarumma, as they search for a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Kepa has fallen out of favour under Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, who is keen to offload the goalkeeper who arrived at Stamford Bridge for £71.5million two years ago.

Kepa had just won his place back in the side after being dropped for a month by his manager, with Willy Caballero being drafted into the starting XI, however, Lampard still remains unconvinced by the Spaniard.

A range of options have been suggested as possible replacements for the Spain international.

Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana is reportedly interested in a move to Stamford Bridge, even if Kepa stays, while Jan Oblak – whose heroics helped knock defending champions Liverpool out of the Champions League – is viewed as a dream signing by Blues chiefs.

But contact has also been made over Donnarumma, according to the Express.

Chelsea have requested updates from Raiola – who also acts as Paul Pogba’s agent – on Donnarumma’s situation as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

AC Milan are desperate to keep the 21-year-old stopper but face a battle to keep him with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain also circling.

He is valued at around £55million – a fee Chelsea are thought to be open to paying in order to seal the Italy international.

Should he fail to agree new terms at the San Siro then he may well be offered a lucrative deal to move to Stamford Bridge.
