She says: “Put some money away every month. Start now.
“It doesn’t matter how much you put away, just do it consistently.”
Lotty’s top shopping saving tip: “Get on Facebook and join groups such as Luxury on a Budget, Hot UK Deals and 10 ways to have more money, they post brilliant bargains every day.”
Lotty’s craziest bargain steal: “I bought £586 worth of clothes for £82 at Bargain Crazy – a Littlewood’s outlet store which was closing down.
“I got River Island and Levi’s clothes at 80 per cent off, plus an extra 40 per cent off code.”

FAITH is a mum of two and personal finance journalist who runs Much More With Less.
She says: “I put extra money in my work pension before I had kids. I added voluntary contributions while I could afford it before my income was cut during maternity leave.
Faith’s shopping tip: “Double up on discounts by looking out for reductions then trying to get more money off. Find a voucher code to cut the cost of clothes in a sale or a code that offers free postage.”
Faith’s family saver: “Vue Mini Mornings adult and child start from £2.49 per ticket and Odeon Kids and Cineworld Movies for Juniors both start from £2.50 a head.”
