Caroline Flack’s boyfriend Lewis Burton ‘not pressing charges’ after she was charged for assault by beating.

The Love Island host was arrested on 13 December, after an alleged row with the tennis ace.

She was accused of attacking her beau at her Islington home, with the 27-year-old taken to hospital – but his injuries were not thought to be serious.

And, after he broke his silence with a loved-up snap of himself and the 40-year-old, it was claimed he is not planning to press charges.

An insider revealed: ‘Lewis is very upset and embarrassed about how this situation has blown up.

‘It was a tiff between a couple that love each other and should never have ended up in the public domain…’

‘He has not – and is not pressing charges,’ they added to MailOnline. ‘He loves Caroline and wants things to be back to normal as soon as possible.’

Caroline’s rep revealed she is in touch with police over the incident.

A statement they shared with Metro.co.uk read: ‘We confirm that police attended Caroline’s home following a private domestic incident.

‘She is co-operating with the appropriate people to resolve matters. We will not be making any further comment for legal reasons.’

The ITV2 host also reportedly went to hospital after allegedly accidentally cutting her hand on broken glass, following the ‘row’.

According to the Daily Star, six police cars were spotted outside her home on 12 December, with officers called to a ‘domestic disturbance’.

A police spokesperson confirmed the news, sharing a statement with Metro.co.uk: ‘Caroline Flack of Islington was charged on Friday, 13 December with assault by beating.

‘She will appear on bail at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 23 December.

‘This follows an incident at approximately 05:25hrs on Thursday, 12 December after reports of a man assaulted. He was not seriously injured.’

Caroline and Lewis started dating in June, after being introduced by mutual friends, and went official with their relationship in August.
