She opted to probe the monarch asking whether she had seen Countdown, however, Her Majesty said that she had very little time to watch television, adding: “Tell me, though… is it on after the racing?”
Following the death of the Queen’s beloved husband, Carol shared further details about interactions she saw between the couple.
Speaking on her BBC Radio Wales programme about a horse-racing conversation between the married couple, Carol said: “She was just laughing away and you know when people flirt? There’s just something in the eyes, isn’t there? And it was in their eyes.
“They were in their 80s then and it was just there, you just know when people are flirting, they were chuckling and he was roaring laughing.”
