Carol Vorderman, 60, starred in the second series of Strictly Come Dancing and for her, it sure was one to remember. She was partnered with Paul Killick but the pair were voted out in the second week, not before she claimed she fractured a rib following a painful injury on the BBC dancing show.
While chatting on her Radio Wales show, she revealed she was left with an egg-shaped wound on her back as the the bone healed.
Speaking to her colleagues, she admitted it was extremely painful.
“I don’t know whether you’ve broken a rib but what happens is, as the bones knit together again you get this egg on your back where your ribs sit,” she explained.
“Because they’re fresh, this sort of egg shape [forms] where the bones knit together, and it sort of goes down in a couple of weeks.”

But while in the recovery phase, Carol admitted she couldn’t help but show it off.
“On Countdown, I’d go into the audience and go, ‘Look! I’ve fractured a rib, have a feel of this egg!'”
Her BBC co-stars howled with laughter at the host’s recollection, as she added: “People were touching my back! But it did hurt.”
Carol and Paul finished ninth out of the 10 couples taking part that year, a disappointing place for the glamorous mathematician.
Elsewhere, the presenter was left in shock after Piers Morgan revealed his dad is Welsh.
Piers replied “Diolch”, which is Welsh for “thank you”.
Carol was seemingly very proud of her telly colleague, as she continued to tweet in his favour.
“The boy’s learning Welsh now…da iawn @piersmorgan…something I never thought I’d write. come on Cymru @FAWales #WAL,” she exclaimed.
But Piers had some news for her, something not many people were aware of, replying rather bluntly: “My Dad is Welsh…”
The BBC Wales star was among those stunned at the revelation, as she admitted she thought she knew almost everything about the outspoken presenter.
“Piers….these are things I never knew about you…and I thought after all these years I knew most of it,” she laughed.
“Clue is in the name I guess…. Morgan.”
She added: “Give your Dad a cwtch from me,” which means a “hug”.
Carol was of course over the moon that her home country won the match, as she praised the team for their hard work.
In a separate tweet, she wrote: “AMAZING night #WALS @FAWALES. And can I just say what an absolute joy it was to watch @GabbyLogan being the most brilliant pro out there …. go girl … go Wales.”
