Carma: Teen's Corsa missing for a week after he parked in a hurry

A teenager is appealing for help after parking his car in an unfamiliar city – and forgetting where he left it.

Connor Spear was rushing to a music festival when he parked up in a residential street in Bristol.

The 19-year-old then took a taxi to the Tokyo World event in Eastville Park – but when he returned to look for his black Vauxhall Corsa SXI the next morning, he couldn’t find the road he had left it on.

That was more than a week ago, and despite scouring the streets for hours over the weekend, his motor is still missing.

Connor told Sky News: “I parked it up before the festival started and have no recollection after where I parked it. Being in a different city I took no attention.”

Upon realising the car was lost, the teenager said he “was a bit shocked” and “really, really confused”.

Since losing his car, Connor, who is an apprentice at an electric company, has been walking to work.

His mother Sally told Bristol Live that her son is “irresponsible” for losing his car, which she described as his “pride and joy”.

She said: “I’m devastated and annoyed that he’s been so irresponsible.

“You know what youngsters are like – he’s parked there without thinking he’ll take a photo of the street.

“He’s annoyed with himself because at the time you just want to get there [the festival], but he feels so irresponsible – it’s the most irresponsible thing he’s done.

“The thing is, it’s a really nice, decent car and he’s really looked after it – that’s the annoying thing about it.”

Connor is offering a £100 reward to anyone who can help him locate his car, which he purchased for £2,500 after passing his driving test.

He told Sky News that some people from Bristol had contacted him on Monday claiming they had spotted the car.

The vehicle’s registration number is WP08 FKF and it has a spare tyre in use on the front driver’s side, as well as the Corsa lettering on the rear of the vehicle has an upside-down “O”.
