Another rule is that players are not able to take part in the Carabao Cup for two different teams at different stages of the competition.
So if a player took to the pitch for a certain team in any other round of the cup, before moving to a new side in the January window, that player would not be able to play for his new team in the cup as he’s already been registered to his former team.
Yellow/red cards
For the whole of the competition a two-yellow card suspension rule has been in place.
At the quarter-final stage, the slate was wiped clean for all players.
Another rule states that no player can miss the final through receiving a yellow card in the semi-final.
