The stars descended upon the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival for day one on Monday, as Meryl Streep and Heidi Klum put their best fashion foot forward and led the glamour on the red carpet.
Hollywood icon Meryl, 74, proved that age is just a number as she wowed in an off-white gown which perfectly synched her toned waist. She accessorised with a pair of sparkly dangling earrings and a white clutch bag as she worked it on the red carpet for the photographers.
America’s Got Talent judge Heidi, 50, looked sensational in a ruffled reg gown with straps and a long train. She had her blonde locks in a semi-wavy style as she opted for a dark eyeshadow and nude lip for the fashion event.
Meanwhile, Jane Fonda looked incredible in a black suit with flared trousers and a floral pattern. The 86-year-old brought her outfit alive with a long animal-print which she later took off and carried.
Actress and writer Greta Gerwig walked the red carpet in a glittery purple gown which showed off her chest as she showed off some knee in the daring gown. Greta, 40, slicked her hair back and accessorised with a pair of silver earrings.
The iconic film festival in Cannes will last for the next 12 days, from May 14 to 25, with films from across the globe being celebrated for the year in cinema.
