Call of Duty League Launch Event: Start Date, Teams, and Everything You Need to Know


Upon the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare, there has been a looming excitement in the competitive community surrounding the new Call of Duty League. To sum it up shortly, Call of Duty has now franchised much like Overwatch, we will see 12 teams compete all across the world for their respective cities.

The first event that is going to happen in 2020 is the Call of Duty League Launch Event, this is the main kick-off event for the league and already has fans filled with excitement. With this looming event and the prospect of many fans attending, what do you need to know about the first EVER Call of Duty League event?

When?

The first event Call of Duty League event is set to take place on January 24-26! This is around the same time the Overwatch League will also be starting their new season so there will be lots of action for esports fans to dive into.

Where?

The launch event is taking place in Minnesota, hosted by the Minnesota ROKKR which is one of the 12 teams in the Call of Duty League and co-owned by WISE Venture Esports and Gary Vaynerchuck.

The event will be held at the Minnesota Armory which is downtown Minnesota.

Tickets?

No-one is able to purchase tickets just quite yet, everyone is able to sign up for pre-access to ticket sales on the official Call of Duty League website. Tickets are rumored to go on sale around November 15th but we will update this page when a date gets confirmed.

For members of the press, like cany Activision-Blizzard run Call of Duty event, there is, of course, a press room and passes available after applying for one as the date gets closer.
