What is brow lamination?
“Brow Lamination is a process of restructuring the brow hairs to keep them in the desired shape,” explains Natalie. “It is the perfect treatment for anyone who’s hairs are irregular in direction of with any gaps in their hairs, giving the appearance of perfectly groomed full brows.”
What does the treatment involve?
Brow lamination is a professional service, and involves a pre-treatment consultation with a trained therapist. “We always provide consultation at Hi Brow, as it’s so important to determine what style the client would like,” explains Natalie. “The brow hairs are then secured in place using a style fixing product; this product has key ingredients to straighten curved hairs while ensuring symmetry. Then, using two different styling lotions, the brow hairs are fixed into their new position. Brows are cleansed to remove all residue of products and stray hairs tidied to reveal the new perfect brow.”
How long does it take?
The treatment takes around 30 – 45 minutes, neatly fitting into a lunch hour. “Clients often combine the treatment with a tint, which can add a few minutes,” says Natalie.
Does it hurt?
Anyone who was put off microblading because of the pain factor will be relieved to find that brow lamination is not painful whatsoever. According to Natalie, “the trained technician will be skilled in applying and removing products so you will be comfortable throughout the treatment.” Phew.
How long do results last?
You can enjoy results for up to 6 – 8 weeks depending on your natural brow hair.
Are there any risks or side effects?
“There aren’t any side effects to Brow Lamination,” promises Natalie.”Ater 6 – 8 weeks, your brow hairs will return to their normal shape and you will be ready for another treatment.” Plus, there’s no maintenance needed throughout.
