JLS have paid tribute to Caroline Flack after the Love Island presenter’s tragic death at the weekend.
Caroline died on Saturday (15 January) at the age of 40 after taking her own life at her home in London.
Her unexpected death has devastated the world of showbiz, including JLS who met the presenter years ago during her time as a host on The Xtra Factor.
JLS’ Aston Merrygold told Metro.co.uk of how he would remember Caroline: ‘Her smile. Every time we saw Caroline she was smiling.
‘Beautiful soul, we just send love, prayers and wishes to her family.’
Caroline’s family confirmed her death hours after news broke and said: ‘We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February.
‘We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.’
Caroline’s suicide has sparked a debate about social media trolls with celebrities joining forces to crack down on the online bullying.
JLS were in attendance at the Brit Awards on Tuesday evening just days after confirming their comeback following a seven-year break.
The band made up of Marvin Humes, Oritsé Williams, JB Gill and Aston Merrygold, confirmed their exciting news on The One Show last week in a pre-recorded video message.
‘We are back, we are back together,’ Marvin enthused. ‘We can’t wait to be back on tour at the end of the year.’
The Everybody In Love hitmakers will be heading out on an arena tour around the UK kicking off in November and including a date at London’s O2 Arena where fans last saw them on stage back in 2013.
The Brit Awards are taking place at London’s O2 Arena and air live on ITV from 8pm.
