Britain's Got Talent's Simon Cowell and David Walliams caught up in on-stage spat


Simon Cowell and David Walliams got caught up in a spat as the pair argued over their carbon footprint and Simon getting David’s sons name wrong.

The duo were in London, filming the audition round of Britain’s Got Talent when they locked horns in their seats.

Following a performance by a children’s entertainer, Simon, 60, joked to David: “Why don’t you book her for your son, Bertie’s next birthday?”

David, 48, hit back saying: “Bertie is my dog. I would expect you to know the name of my son,

“If you had bothered to send a card or present…”

However, not letting David’s comment get to him, The X Factor boss instantly shot back with: “You called Eric, Squiddly once, if you remember.”

The pair, who are known for their witty friendship then went on to argue about their carbon footprints following an audition by an eco-friendly children’s choir, who performed a song about global warming, single-use plastic and saving animals and trees.

David wasn’t happy when Simon got his sons name wrong

Music mogul Simon took a swipe at Little Britain star David, saying: “Take a little sign from these kids and think, you know what, cycle.”

Hitting back, David said: “I have seen a picture of you on a jet ski. You flew here today by private jet and you are ten minutes away by car.”

The feud continued, with Simon adding: “I know it is in your contract. We are now taking it out, you are not coming by helicopter anymore.”

Despite their obvious friendship, things became heated during the last series with Simon and David bickering at the quarter-finals.

Britain’s Got Talent is currently touring the country, hoping to find the nest variety star who will bag a performance slot at the prestigious Royal Variety Show.

The show is expected to return to screens later this year.
