X reached Britain’s Got Talent‘s grand finale after impressing with their act, earning a place alongside Jonathan Goodwin during Friday’s edition of the live shows.
The anonymous magician terrified with their act, which saw them use digital technology and use of social media mystify the judges and audience.
Jonathan won out against dance act Libby and Charlie after Simon Cowell avoided picking who to win, sending the result to deadlock and leaving the death-defying trickster earning his spot after winning the public vote.

Once they finished, Amanda Holden had high praise as he said: ‘Just extraordinary, obviously you’re doing something so clever, You create the most brilliant atmosphere, my god, I want to see more from you.’
Simon told the magician that he ‘got chills running through’ him during the act, and loved their ‘spooky, creepy presence’.
While David Walliams admitted that X made other magicians look ‘pretty old-fashioned’ thanks to their ‘completely original and modern’ act.

Meanwhile Jonathan put on an intense, heart-pounding act that took his death-defying tricks to a new level after he played ‘blindfold chicken’ with crossbows.
Remarkably Jonathan came out unscathed after moving out of the way of the arrows in the nick of time, just by listening carefully to the water timers.
Amazed by his act, Simon teased: ‘Part of me is thinking I don’t want you in the finals, genuinely I mean I hadn’t seen this in rehearsals and if I had I would have said you’re nuts, so respect.’
While David went on: ‘Apart from it being obviously incredibly dangerous, it’s also so inventive. Absolutely brilliant.’
Alesha Dixon went on: ‘I mean you’re just crazy, but absolute genius at the same time, [it was] so hard to watch, I don’t normally like this act, but amazing.’

Amanda said they were ‘Just utterly breathtaking that was an amazing piece of entertainment.’
Adding to what Amanda had to say, Simon said it felt like they’d come ‘to see [their] show’ while Alesha said their ‘hard work and dedication paid off’.
And David gushed that they’d ‘filled our hearts with joy’, before joking: ‘More importantly you’ve made Ant and Dec feel tall.’

Barbara Nice provided the comedy for the night, as she had the judges and audience in fits of laughter as she got everyone to dance alongside her during the act.
After she had finished her performance by crowd-surfing once again, Alesha gushed that she loved Barbara ‘so much’ and ‘could just listen to you all night.’
‘You’re good old fashioned entertainment, you’re living La Vida Loca,’ she added.
While Amanda compared her to Peter Kay, as she said she was ‘such a talent’ and admitted that she’d love to see the comedian go through to the final.
Simon added that he felt ‘tizzed up’ by her act, and said: ‘I have a felling the public are going to love you after that.’

Leanne Mya wowed the judges with her incredibly moving performance, which saw her sing with a gospel choir in tribute to the victims of the Grenfell fire.
David told her that she gave an ‘absolutely beautiful performance from start to finish’ and added that ‘sometimes it feels like there’s magic in the room, and you had that.’
And Alesha told her: ‘You had me, I felt the emotion straight away, you’ve got a very gentle soul, gentle presence, and a very powerful voice. I think you had a moment there Leanne, that was gorgeous.’
While Amanda went on: ‘You are so together, and so calm and collected it was an absolute joy to watch, you have so much grace and soul to your voice I’d love for this show to push you to the stars where you belong.’

Japanese dance troupe Fabulous Sisters hoped to delight the audience once again with their stunning dancing, but while they gave it their all the judges were less than impressed.
Simon thanked the group from travelling so far to compete, but claimed that he ‘didn’t like that very much’ because he felt ‘the music was very confusing’.
In contrast, David said: ‘I really enjoyed it, and in terms of talent you girls are way up there. People ask why do we have acts from around the world and it’s because you raise the game of the entire show.’
Alesha said they were ‘fabulous’, while Amanda said they had a ‘strong audition’ but she was unsure whether they’d get to the final.

Jacob Jones, who proposed to his girlfriend during his audition, had another surprise up his sleeve as he announced on live TV that he and his fiancée were going to be having a baby.
While he warmed hearts with his news, the judges weren’t as impressed by his performance as Amanda told him that his act had become ‘more about the story of your love’ than his singing.
David disagreed, as he said: ‘It was lovely I mean what a fantastic romantic thing to do, not only to propose on television, but sing a song of love to the person you love I think it was gorgeous.’

Gonzo entertained the judges as he opened the show with his quirky dance and tambourine routine, which saw him repeatedly hit his face and body with the musical instrument.
When it was time to go to the judges, Simon said: ‘Well this is what Britain’s Got Talent is all about, bashing yourself over the head repeatedly with a tambourine. You know what, you’re the best act of the night by far, well done.’
While Alesha told Gonzo how her daughter Azura couldn’t wait to see him perform as she praised him for the impact he’s had on the nation.
David went on to add: ‘The semi-finals are always about people who step up their game, I’m going to make a prediction you’re going to win Britain’s Got Talent this year, that’s the one to beat.’
The grand finale of Britain’s Got Talent airs Sunday 2nd June at 7:30pm, on ITV.
