ITV has announced the start date for Britain’s Got Talent 2019, and it is very close indeed. Britain’s Got Talent will start this Saturday (April 6) on ITV with the first auditions. The BGT 2019 start date will see Ant and Dec reunited as Ant McPartlin returns to join Declan Donnelly.
When does Britain’s Got Talent 2019 start this year?
BGT will start this year on Saturday, April 6 at 7.15pm on ITV.
The first episode of BGT 2019 will be the first round of auditions, hosted by Ant and Dec.
As usual, BGT 2019 will be judged by Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
Audition episodes of Britain’s Got Talent will last for one hour 25 minutes and end at 8.35pm.
Britain’s Got Talent 2019 episodes will be followed by Britain’s Got More Talent.
This spin-off series, hosted by Stephen Mulhern, will air on Saturdays at 8.35pm on ITV2.
Episodes of Britain’s Got More Talent will air for an hour and five minutes on ITV2.
ITV has not yet announced how long the live shows will run for and when they begin.

The official ITV synopsis for BGT 2019 reads: “This spring sees the return of the nation’s favourite variety talent show, Britain’s Got Talent, celebrating its 13th year on screen!
“With no shortage of talent or variety, the judging panel – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams – have been surprised, captivated and moved to tears yet again by a whole host of auditionees.
“The series also sees the return of the nation’s favourite presenting duo Ant and Dec.
“Once again, all the judges and Ant and Dec will have the chance to put one contestant straight through to the live semi-finals as their Golden Buzzer act, taking them one step closer to achieving their dream of being crowned the BGT winner 2019, securing themselves an incredible £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.
“Expect an unusual harpist, a mind-reading dog and one of the most dangerous acts to date among this year’s amazing acts in what is set to be Britain’s Got Talent’s most entertaining series yet!
“Over the past decade and more, Britain’s Got Talent has delivered some of the most talked about performances and most memorable TV moments.
“These include Paul Potts, Diversity, Tokio Myers, Lost Voice Guy and of course superstar singer Susan Boyle.”
ITV viewers will have to tune in this weekend, however, to find out who the next BGT winner could be.
