Brit Awards 2020: What time does it start, how can I watch live and who’s performing?



The 40th annual Brit Awards take place tonight (Tuesday 18 February) at London’s O2 Arena, where artists such as Lewis Capaldi, Stormzy, Dave and Harry Styles are up for the top prizes. 

The ceremony will be once again hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, and include performance by Capaldi, Stormzy, Styles, Mabel and Billie Eilish. 

Here’s what you need to know ahead of the awards show:

When and where are the Brits taking place? 

The Brit Awards take place tonight (18 February) at the O2 Arena in London from 8pm. 

How can I watch?

The Brit Awards will air on ITV from 8pm, showing live performances as well as the awards announcements. 


Who is performing?

This year you can watch live performances from Harry Styles, Mabel, Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi, Stormzy, and this year’s Rising Star recipient, Celeste. 

Who is nominated? 

This year’s ceremony is a particularly male-dominated one when it comes to the nominations, even by the Brit Awards’ standards. 

Lewis Capaldi and Dave lead with four nominations apiece, while Stormzy and Mabel both have three. Harry Styles is nominated for Album of the Year with his second solo record, Fine Line, as is Michael Kiwanuka for his album, Kiwanuka.
