Billie Faiers has insisted that she did not spend over £200,000 on her Maldives wedding.

The reality TV star was asked by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield how much she had paid for the wedding week, and if she was given a deal by the hotel.

‘You must be earning beautifully to be able to do this,’ said Phil.

‘We had a look, if you were to stay there from next Saturday 6 April, it would be £655 a night, that £4588 for a week with a superior beach villa, the whole week for 100 guests? £229,000 so you must have got a deal there,’ he added.

As Billie and her sister Sam laughed awkwardly, Billie said it wasn’t that much but denied getting a deal.

‘It wasn’t quite that,’ said Billie.

‘So they did you a deal?’ asked Phil.

‘No because there was a large group of us, we had the beach houses but they split them in two, so we had two families in one beach house which helped us out with the rooms,’ she revealed.

The former Towie star tied the knot to the love of her life in a beautiful island ceremony in the Maldives, and the ceremony was covered by OK! magazine.

Making their vows in the island of Kuramathi, the newlyweds were joined by nearly 100 family and friends as Ferne McCann surprised them with a performance of Stand By Me at their reception.

Speaking to OK! magazine the mum-of-two said: ‘Other than the days that Nelly and Arthur were born, it was the best day of my life.

‘It was like a fairy tale – all the stress and tears were worth it.

‘It’s so lovely for me to finally be a Shepherd and share a surname with my children. Marriage ties our little family together completely.’
