Beyonce's new album ‘Renaissance’ will be released next month – and the BeyHive are buzzing!

The BeyHive has officially gone wild because Beyonce has confirmed the title and release date of her hugely anticipated seventh studio album.

A few days after stripping her social media accounts of her pictures, the former Destiny’s Child has updated her Instagram, Twitter and Facebook bios with the name of her new album, “Renaissance.” We. Cannot. Wait.

Furthermore, we’ll only have to wait for a little over a month for her catalogue of new tunes (16 new songs!) because she has listed the release date as Friday 29 July.

While we run to mark our calendars, it’s also been noted that the profiles for music streaming platforms Spotify, Apple Music, and TIDAL have also posted the Beyonce update with a minimal black background post and the words: “act i, RENAISSANCE.”

Handout

Needless to say, the Beyonce fandom has been swarming the internet to comment on their excitement.

One person gushed: “Beyoncé is coming to take over this summer and show everyone how it’s done. Beyoncé is coming fr!”

Another wrote: “and just that easily, my 2022 is MADE. BEYONCÉ IS COMING #RENAISSANCE,” while a third enthused: “The Queen is coming.”

In all our excitement, we actually didn’t realise that Beyonce pretty much told us the name of her album in an interview last year.

Twitter content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

“I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

“I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies.”

Beyonce added: “Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”

How did we miss that?!

Nonetheless, six years after she put “Becky with the good hair” in her place, we’re ready for more music from Queen Bey!
