Bargain Hunt presenter inundated with support as she shares photo from hospital bed

Christina Trevanion took to social media and revealed she had been recuperating in hospital.

The Bargain Hunt presenter, 48, took to Instagram and shared a photo of her arm with a drip attached and a hospital tag.

Christina had a book beside her as she lay in the hospital bed and captioned it: “Adieu February and good riddance frankly!

“An unexpected hospital stay meant an unusual opportunity to catch up on some good reading.

“Safe to say I was not a patient patient… but thanks to the TLC of some incredible nurses (you know who you are!) I am now back in fine fettle.”

She concluded: “Roll on blustery March, your lighter nights and slightly longer days…. Anyone else longing for some warmer weather??”

Christina added the hashtags: “#nursesrock #nurses #hospitalstaff #rollonspring #reallife #longingforspringtime #longingforspring.”

The BBC presenter shared the photo on Tuesday and was inundated with messages of support from her 46,700 followers who offered their well wishes.

One person wrote: “Blimey doesn’t sound like fun. Hopefully on the mend!” Another commented: “Wishing you a safe and speedy recovery.”

A third penned: “Hope you have a speedy recovery, sorry to hear you’ve not been well. Take care.”

A fourth wrote: “Be safe and well Christina,” while another added: “Really hope its nothing serious and you are on the way to a full recovery.”

Christina has achieved fame thanks to her regular appearances on Bargain Hunt among other TV shows as well as being involved in running her own auction house.

The BBC star grew up in Cheshire and went on to study at Southampton Solent University before landing a coveted job at notable auction house, Christie’s.

She learnt the bulk of her knowledge when it comes to the world of antiques from buying and selling.

While her auction house keeps her busy so does the presenter’s television work. She has appeared on Antiques Road Trip, Flog It and Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is.

Last year, she landed the role of co-host of the BBC‘s The Travelling Auctioneer alongside The Repair Shop favourite Will Kirk.

Christina has opted to keep her private life out of the spotlight and does not feature her husband or two daughters on her social media accounts.
