Will there be another series of Bard of Blood?

Netflix has yet to confirm whether it will be renewing Bard of Blood for a second outing.

However, as the platform only just released the show, it’s too early at this stage to say whether there will be another outing.

The streaming platform will be looking at the viewing figures before announcing any decisions.

Nonetheless, the cast is keeping their fingers crossed with lead Emraan Hashmi, who plays the eponymous character Kabir Anand, telling India Today: “I am hopeful. You have to ask Netflix.

“With the second season, we will have a reference to the book but it will be an original script. I think whenever it is sanctioned, then it will be written out.”

What will happen in Bard of Blood season 2?

Season one has been adapted from the book but beyond that, the show will be venturing into new territory after running out of source material.

There are many possibilities about the plot of a second season with Anand most likely to be embarking on a new mission and balancing his life as a teacher with an intelligence operative.

But again, this will depend on the direction the writers want to take with the story and if they want to do something different in season two.

Author Siddiqui, who worked on the first run could also be returning to devise a new story for Bard of Blood.
