Bake Off's Paul Hollywood fuming as he's caught up in nude photo scandal

Bake Off ‘s Paul Hollywood is caught up in a catfishing scandal, as online fraudsters have stolen his pics.

The 53-year-old’s photos were used by a false Facebook account under the name “Paul J Hollywood”, in a bid to con lonely women.

According to the Sunday People, the crooks are based in Nigeria and have tricked a whole slew of Facebook users.

The victims were reportedly asked to send money or nude pics to the dodgy account, and many are said to have given in to the requests.

Paul – who is recently single, following his split from 24-year-old Summer Monteys Fullam – took to social media to warn his fans.

He said: “This is my only Facebook account and any other account is nothing to do with me. Report any pages that you think might be fake.”

Hundreds of people took to the comment section below to weigh in on the warning, with many revealing they’d been approached by the fake account.

Emma Norris, 53, told the Sunday People that she started chatting with the account after commenting under a recipe post.

She said: “This imposter messaged me and I was stunned that he was asking to meet up.

“For a split second, I thought that Paul could actually be interested. Then I thought, ‘wake up, this can’t be for real’.

“I was so close to meeting him first for coffee in a public place. I felt vulnerable that I was taken in by him.”

She added: “Women need to be informed about their vulnerabilities using social media. Having been so close to something like this it has opened my eyes.”

“I’ve heard of other women being asked to send money and even intimate photographs. It’s awful. I hope women read this and don’t fall for the scam.”

Barbara Teale, 50, said the false account asked to “get to know her better” – though her suspicions were instantly raised.

Paul’s spokesman reportedly confirmed the account had been shut down.
