She made a lasting impression on The Bachelor’s Matt Agnew with her cheerleading skills.

But Nikki Ferris’s cheery routine didn’t begin according to plan, with an off-camera incident moments before meeting her potential match.  

On Thursday, Nova 96.9s’ Fitzy & Wippa revealed the 24-year-old sprained her ankle while stepping out of the limousine.

‘She was dressed as a cheerleader and had a cheer to go and she was so scared before she got out there,’ radio host Fitzy explained. 

‘[She’s] practising her lines in the limo, and Matt’s waiting 50 metres away, she gets out of the limo and fully rolls her ankle,’ he continued. 

‘Very upset she says to the camerman “I can’t do this, I can’t walk”, she’s getting teary they said “settle down”.’

But the incident didn’t stop the brunette beauty from making an impression as she eventually managed to perform her routine. 

‘I think she had to wait another half an hour to an hour so she could get herself right and do that cheer,’ he added.  

Nikki, who is studying to become a teacher, made her debut on The Bachelor as one of eight new girls on Thursday.

In a candid interview with The Daily Telegraph, Nikki revealed that her father walked out on her mother when she was 15 and then two years later, her mother tragically died from cancer.  

‘She was my best friend, the absolute light of my world,’ Nikki confessed, before saying she is honoured to have been her mother’s daughter. 

‘He said he was going to do a business venture and never came back,’ she added. ‘I haven’t heard from him since. It’s OK, my mum made up for him.’
