‘We’re addicted to voice memos, just when you’re on the go we’re just walkie-talkie radio style catching up with each other.’

During the interview, Shannon also admitted she joined the show to test herself.

‘Some people climb mountains, some people run marathons, for me, it just had to be this game of Survivor, I just wanted to strip everything away from myself and see what I was made of,’ she said.

Shannon was voted out at the Tribal Council during Tuesday’s episode of Australian Survivor.

The model was sent packing alongside Laura Wells, who were both voted out by their respective tribes.

But host Jonathan LaPaglia revealed the four winning players – Wai, Emmett, Rachel and Andrew – would be able to save one contestant.

‘I would obviously choose Shannon to stay, because she is part of the Brawn tribe,’ Emmett explained.

A frustrated Simon then revealed: ‘You don’t know the half of it, mate. Shannon was the first one, when we got back to camp, who tried to tear it down. She tried to flush my idol and vote out Chelsea.’

Wai and Emmett as well as Rachel and Andrew were all then convinced that Shannon should be sent home.
