Tech firm Apple recently announced it would be breaking into the online TV streaming market with its own platform to take on the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu. Apple TV+ will only be streaming original content produced by the company rather than films and programmes made by others. The new streaming platform will be launching in over 100 countries across the world simultaneously on November 1.
How to sign up to Apple+ and how much does it cost?
Subscribers can view content on the Apple TV app via a range of Apple products including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac and other platforms.
Apple+ can also be watched online via laptops on tv.apple.com.
The service costs £4.99 per month and there’s a seven-day free trial to entice new subscribers.
Apple is also giving people a special offer with those customers purchasing any iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch or Mac enjoying Apple TV+ free for a year.

Through the platform’s Family Sharing feature, up to six family members can share on Apple TV+ subscription.
“Apple TV+ is an unprecedented global video service with an all-original slate,” said Jamie Erlicht, Apple’s head of Worldwide Video.
He added: “We look forward to giving audiences everywhere the opportunity to enjoy these compelling stories within a rich, personalised experience on all the screens they love.”
While the company’s head of Worldwide Video said: “With Apple TV+, we are presenting all-original stories from the best, brightest and most creative minds, and we know viewers will find their new favourite show or movie on our service.

New content will be added to the Apple TV+ platform each month for viewers to watch.
“Each Apple TV+ original offers its own unique story, fresh perspective and powerful message — all meant to entertain, connect and inspire cultural conversations.”
The new streaming platform has already offered a sneak peek of what’s to come after sharing a trailer featuring a range of content.
When Apple TV+ launches on November 1, viewers will be able to view a number of compelling shows.

Among them, is Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa in an apocalyptic series called See in which most humans have lost the power of sight.
Star-studded satirical series The Morning Show is another show expected to be big.
Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carrell, the show is a biting behind-the-scenes look at breakfast television.
Meanwhile, Dickinson is a coming-of-age dark comedy imagining the celebrated American poet Emily Dickinson as a rebellious teen.

There’s also space drama For All Mankind which comes from the producer of Outlander Ronald D. Moore.
The show imagines what would have happened if Russia won the space race.
Apple has also teamed up with Peanuts Worldwide to create a new kids show called Snoopy in Space.
Talkshow host and actress Oprah Winfrey will have her show which sees her speak to authors as she builds a global book club.
