Amber Rose is a mum for the second time after welcoming her first child with boyfriend Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards.
The proud dad confirmed the news on Instagram, announcing: ‘Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.. the world is urs now.
‘Thank u @amberrose for loving me so much that u put ur body thru it 2 bring my sun in2 the world. I could never be as strong as u. Slash a rockstar.’
The model is already mum to six-year-old Sebastian, her son with ex-husband Wiz Khalifa.
Amber announced that she was expecting her second baby boy back in April, when she shared a photo from a sonogram appointment.
She wrote: ‘AE and I are SUPER excited to announce that we have a Sweet little Baby Boy on the way! P.S Sebastian is soooooo Happy to be a big brother!’
Edwards also shared his excitement at expecting his first child, writing on Instagram: ‘Even when it’s dark … my SON will shine. ❤️☀️✨?? Thank u baby 4 my greatest gift. s*** wild! I love you ? I can’t wait to thug it out w my baby boy.
‘& baby boy, I promise I won’t get mad if ur first words r where the b****? [sic]’
However, Amber went on to have a difficult pregnancy, suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum – an extreme form of morning sickness also suffered by Kate Middleton and Amy Schumer.
She explained: ‘I said I was going to document this pregnancy a little bit more than I did with Sebastian, ’cause with Sebastian I had hyperemesis, and I have hyperemesis again with this baby. And for people that don’t know what it is, it’s basically extreme nausea, vomiting and dehydration.
‘I can eat a little bit more now cause I’m in my second trimester, but not much, and I pretty much sleep all day.’
‘But all in all, babies are a blessing, and God bless women, man. We are resilient, we get through it. You know, it’s really, really hard being pregnant.’
She continued: ‘To all the women out there who just pop out babies like it’s nothing, God bless you guys, because, oh my God, it’s a lot.’
‘I wanna be out, I wanna be cute, I wanna show off my belly, I just can’t get off this couch. Like, I’m tired and I just wanna barf all day. It’s just not fun, but it’s totally worth it.’
While Amber was struggling in the early months of her trimester, she was pictured glowing on a number of outings with AE, who boasted that their sex life was ‘different, but it’s fire’ while his girlfriend was pregnant.
Amber and AE, 32 – the vice president of A&R for Def Jam Records – have been dating since September 2018, although they first met in 2015 due to Edwards’ friendship with Tyga; the rapper has a son with Amber’s friend Blac Chyna.
SlutWalk activist Amber tied the knot with Wiz Khalifa in 2013 after two years together, welcoming their son the same year; however, Amber filed for divorce in September 2014.
The star famously dated Kanye West from 2008 until 2010, while she had a romance with 21 Savage from 2017 until early 2018.
