It’s confirmed, Amanda Holden will be the new face of Heart FM’s Breakfast Show with the TV star set to replace current host Emma Bunton.

In December, Emma, 43, announced that she’ll be stepping down from her coveted radio spot after five years presenting alongside Jamie Theakston.

Amanda’s rep has now confirmed to Metro.co.uk that Amanda will indeed be joining the show.

Sources had said that Amanda, 48, was the Heart producers’ favourite choice after winning the nation over on Britain’s Got Talent.

A radio insider told The Mirror: ‘Amanda was their number one choice.

‘She is warm, funny and, of course, watched and loved by millions on Britain’s Got Talent.’

Emma isn’t stepping away from Heart FM entirely as she’s simply moving over to a sleepy Sunday slot.

In a statement last year, the Spice Girls singer explained: ‘I can truthfully say that I’ve laughed my head off every single day.

‘It’s with a heavy heart that I say farewell to Heart Breakfast listeners, but I’m hoping some of them will be able to join me for my Sunday show.’

Emma’s announcement came as the Spice Girls announced they will be reuniting for an epic stadium tour this summer, with dates including a six-night stint at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Amanda’s been a busy bee lately. Britain’s Got Talent is back on our screens and she’s gearing up for the anticipated live rounds alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

Last week, she also stepped in to replace Holly Willoughby on ITV’s Celebrity Juice with the resident host enjoying an extended Easter break with her family.

It comes after Amanda stated she would never ‘voluntarily’ leave BGT unless she gets the sack.

Speaking earlier this month, the TV star said: ‘I’d like to be back, I can’t ever imagine not doing it.

‘When I do leave I want it to be on my terms, so I’ll be like, “If you’re sacking me then give me a heads up and I’ll do a speech about giving up my chair for someone else!”.’

She added: ‘I’ll never voluntarily go, I love this show too much and I just think that for as long as it’s going I want to be a part of it.’
