Alexandre Lacazette believes Arsenal have a ‘difficult’ but ‘exciting’ task on their hands as they battle with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Arsenal are sitting above United and Chelsea in fourth and one point behind third-placed Spurs, with Unai Emery looking to secure Champions League football in his debut season as manager.
The Gunners, who host mid-table Newcastle after the international break, have been preparing for their tough Premier League run-in at a warm-weather training camp in Dubai
Lacazette was one of a number of first-team stars who were handed game-time during Arsenal’s friendly match against Al-Nasr Dubai SC on Tuesday.
Asked about Arsenal’s top-four chances, Lacazette told Sport360: ‘It’s going to be difficult of course, but exciting as well.
‘It’s been a good battle all season so we just want to win every single game and finish third or fourth. It will be good for us and our fans.’
Lacazette is confident Arsenal’s trip to Dubai stands them in good stead ahead of a crucial run of fixtures both domestically and in Europe.
‘It was a good idea by the club to bring the players available here to Dubai,’ the Frenchman said.
‘It’s been good weather, it was a good pitch, great facilities.
‘Everyone enjoyed it and we worked well for one week. Now we have to come back to London and stay focused on the Premier League and Europa League.’
